This comprehensive youth program provides opportunities for low-income youth ages 14 to 21 in Iredell and Lincoln counties to become proficient in school, in their community, and at work. The Youth program offers the following services to eligible youth:
- GED services
- Tutoring and study skills training
- Supportive services
- Work experience/job training
- Leadership development
Recruitment emphasis is currently placed on eligible school dropouts. Youth who are serious about re-focusing their lives and demonstrate a willingness to comply with program rules are sought. Youth are provided training and development in a variety of areas that will give them a foundation on which to rebuild their lives. Short-term employment opportunities also exist for those youth who meet program participation requirements. Participation is contingent upon space availability and enrollment.
